Issue using NWBC URL

Hi Experts,

i have this issue regarding SRM url.

Case 1: User starts with the inital URL http://xxxxxxxxxxxxx:8200/sap/bc/nwbc/?, user logs in and URL changes to  http://xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:8200/sap/bc/nwbc/?sap-client=100&sap-language=EN&sap-nwbc-node=root&sap-them....

Everything works fine and user can do usual SRM activity of creating SC and post confirmation etc

Case 2: Some users launch their application directly with URL  http://xxxxxxxxxxxxx:8200/sap/bc/nwbc/?sap-client=100&sap-language=EN&sap-nwbc-node=root&sap-theme=s..., and user login in and starts doing normal SRM operation. for eg:

User gets errors which transfering item to shopping cart from catalog, error such as "An error Encountered" "An Error with Company code" .. basically very vague error messages.

Please let me know what is happing when we launch with inital URL ( suspecting something with session )

and what happens when we use a resolved URL to launch SRM.

Please give any information or knowledge on this regard.

Thanks,

Tashi

Hello Tashi,

It should not happen generally. Did you applied the latest runtime patch for nwbc?

Hello Tashi,

You can check in transaction snote and see if you have applied note 2087977. This note contains the lastest nwbc runtime -- 43. If you have not yet applied it, please try to apply via snote and see if the issue persists after that.

Best regards,

Yuki

To check Runtime patch ...The approach Yuki describes will work 80++% of the time. However, for the 2% of time that it doesn't work, you could try instruction provided in OSSN 1864151 (How to determine the version and Patch Level of NWBC Runtime Environment).
