Why delivery Split ?

Hi All,

First of all i have checked the forums for my problem but could not find proper results, so creating this post.

Please help me with this.

I have created order successfully see the Screen Shot below.

I have created order with one line item with quantity 2.

Delivery Date is 30th Jan 2015

Plant is 1000

Ship to Sold to are same.

Now after saving the order i try to create delivery from VL01N for the same order and it shows below error. Why?

I have also the checked the criteria for Delivery split as below.

The splitting criteria i.e if delivery date, shipping point, plant and ship to party are different system will split automatically.

What is the exact problem behind this? Please help.

hi swanand,

Please go to your orders header data & check the shipping point .

The same shipping point should be mentioned at the time of creating delivery .

In ur case : the message seems ,its due to two different shipping points .

Hi,

your order has quantity of 2 pieces and what is the result of delivery split?

2 seperate deliveries with 1 piece in each of these?

also check your data transfer in copy control.

Hi,

Even with 1 line item probably the delivery split could happen in case if the material is batch managed, and two different batches in two locations, or partial batch is confirmed at requested delivery date and partial at other date?

Check the schedule lines if the two dates are there?

or

have you maintained your material in batches?

check the MMBE by giving material, if it is available at 2 different locations or only 1.

If I am wrong open to corrections.

As suggested by Laxmi, do provide VL01N screen with highlighted parameter,

Hi Swanand,

It looks like, you r trying to do delivery with a different shipping point than what's in the order.

Ie in VL01N, you are putting a different shipping point. This may be the case.

Try doing delivery directly from va02 of the order.

That is just one half, the other half is the shipping point in your order

It looks, as   mentioned, it looks the shipping point in your sales order is different than the one you have maintained in VL01N,

My question is when system has confirmed the stock only for 30th Jan'15, why are you trying to do delivery much early ?  Also the said error would come in case of multiple line items in sale order but as you said, since you were trying with only one line item, ideally, the said error should not come and as Jurgen said, you need to share the delivery screen with what input parameters you tried

If I search SCN with these words: delivery split shipping points vl01n

then I get 82 hits. I just opened a few on the first page and got several with a correct answer.

If you had read them then your evidence given with  the screenshot should actually look much different.

The message is just SAP standard, if would be sufficient to tell the exact message with the message number, a screenshot for the same is not needed.

Instead you could have posted a screenshot to show that your shipping points are not different, that is main message in the message, isn't it? None of your screenshots shows a shipping point.
