Hi,
drop-down menu is provided for a selection field if a fixed value list is available for this field. Most common use case would be that the selection field refers to a EH status or a parameter with fixed values.
In IMG activities "Define Control, Info, and Rule Processing Parameters" or "Define System Parameters" you can define value sets for a parameter:
In the definition of the configured field for selection you can decide whether you want to provide the fixed values for the selection or not (-> indicator "No Fixed Values"). In the selection profile you can decide if you want drop-down menu (Input Format = "Single Input") or item list box (Input Format = "Multiple Input").
