It seems import completed for repotext.

Anyway can try to do a test with import monitor?

import_monitor.sh TestImport I (unix)

or

import_monitor.bat TestImport I  (windows)

could be that it can't connect to DB (is it open? )

Bye

Nick

Hi,

After deletion of .lock file have you restarted your complete system ? If not try to refresh the system once by restart and try again.

Hi

As Nick has suggsested  the issue is with the lock file as the migration monitor aborted in b/wn.

Please rename the file  importmonitor.lck   restart SAPINST

Thanks ,

Manu

Hy

go in the installation directory ..where tool "migration monitor" is.

There, should be exists the  importmonitor.lck file....

If you find it and delete it you can restart sapinst with migration monitor. If you go in error again post the new error log.

Nick

Hi,

Maybe I'm missing something, but the log says:

"

ERROR: 2015-01-20 03:04:43 com.sap.inst.migmon.LoadTask run

Loading of 'REPOTEXT' import package is interrupted with R3load error.

Process 'D:\usr\sap\E60\SYS\exe\uc\NTAMD64\R3load.exe -i REPOTEXT.cmd -dbcodepage 4103 -l REPOTEXT.log -nolog -c 0' exited with return code 2.

For mode details see 'REPOTEXT.log' file."

Have you checked that log file?

Regards.

as per log Another instance of application is already running.

Lock file 'ImportMonitor.lck' is locked by other process.

You sure you are not running multiple installation?

Hi Manjappa,

looking at timestamps the import is running:

TRACE: 2015-01-20 04:44:12 com.sap.inst.migmon.LoadTask processPackage

Loading of 'SAPAPPL1_3' import package into database:

D:\usr\sap\E60\SYS\exe\uc\NTAMD64\R3load.exe -i SAPAPPL1_3.cmd -dbcodepage 4103 -l SAPAPPL1_3.log -nolog -c 0

same time you tried to re-start sapinst step  later in time

the sapinst log and import logs arent consistent( the error you getting is because the migration monitor is still running and wasnt stopped or it was killed and thus the .lock file remain in the installation directory)

so questions are :

- is the migration monitor still running

- why was sapinst step repeated ?

Hi Stanislav,

-Migration monitor stopped.

- we had another issue related to R3load, to install that i stopped sapinst. After that i restarted sapinst with old option.

What i can do now to fix this?

Hi Manjappa,

Check DB is running or not?

Go to Task Manager check -> User -> logoff unwanted users.

RAM Size?

Swap memory?

Check CPU utilization.

Again copy export DVDs from source and retry the installation.

update the sapinst_dev.log

Hi Srinivas,

RAM size- 8Gb

Swap size - 24GB

CPU utilization-  Normal,

I don't think it has issue with media.

Hi Manjappa,

You can stop sapinst and restart the Windows then continue start sapinst to continue the old installation options.

After restered OS, start MaxDB and SAP to continue.

It will work.

in that case you just can delete the .lock(ImportMonitor.lck) file in the installation directory and restart sapinst step
