There is a condition in force to check the status of the last 300 offline redo logs in Tx DB12. To see that call Tx DB12 - Logs - Number of Redo Logs

This will show you the value for the above mentioned condition and by default it is kept at 300.

You can change (increase or decrease) the value according to your choice.

How it works, the system checks whether the last 300 offline redo logs have been backed up or not. This can happen if the archiving is stuck or no longer running or if the database was switched to no archive log mode for some reason. You should check if there are offline redo logs present in the /oracle/SID/oraarch directory and the archive log backup is running or not.

Cheers

Hi Nagaraju.

This info is for your reference. As Benjamin wrote, there is a built-in mechanism which checks the status of last 300 (per default) archivelogs. As archiving goes on, this status should disappear.

This can be a sign of an archiving problem. Please check the Alert log and BRARCHIVE runs for additional trails of any issues with archivelog backup. If you performed an offline backup since the last problem of the archivelog backup, there is no issue to be worried about.

Hi,

Regarding this "DB12/not yet backed up" issue, please also refer to SAP notes:

123791 - "DB12 shows too many logs that are not yet archived"

14699 - "CCMS warns of unsaved archive logs"

What kind of backup you have configured? is it to tape/disk?

Have you configured redo log backup?

check in DB13 if you have scheduled the backup via SAP or check in 3rd party backup tool.

We have configured the tape/disk drive,

the backup is scheduled via sap only,we are not using any 3rd party tools.
