FIORI Login Page - Basic Authentication Popup

When I click on the FIORI Launchpad URL , it first takes me to a login screen. Here, I don't give my login credentials and simply hit "Refresh" on the browser and I get re-directed to the Launchpad. It should have taken me directly  to the Launchpad and not via Loginpage - which does not work anyways .

Any idea what's going on here ?

Component Version  -

UIX01HCM - SP04

GBHCM002 -SP12

GBHCM003 -SP10

Here's how I get the error -

1)Trigger FIORI Launchpad via URL

2) Login screen appears -

3) Hit "Refresh"

4) Re-directed to Launchpad -

What is the browser and the version?

Could you test the step with Fiori logon page?

Hi Masayuki,

I'm using IE9 and chrome. FIORI launchpad behaves the sames way in both browsers.  Thanks for sharing the link , I did follow the steps and now I see the "new" login screen. But  my goal is to get rid of the login screen all together. With the SSO, It should have taken me directly to the Launchpad. I have changed  procedure  to 'Alternative Logon Procedure' on the Leaveapproval, Leaverequest  SICF nodes but that didn't help either.

Please share the test result with Fiori logon page. Can you reproduce the error with Fiori logon page? ot Does it work fine?

For SSO, you should setup SSO based on your existing landscape.

Masa,

No errors here, I just want to get rid of the login screen .

Here's how I get to the Launchpad -

1)  Click on FIORI launchpad link

2) Next screen- Login page. I enter my credentials here.

3) I get re-directed to the Launchpad, where all applications work as expected.

Requirement - The user should not be challenged for authentication. Which means I got to figure out a way to get rid of step 2 .

Hi Natasha,

I get confused. Which one is correct understanding?

A. User can logon launchpad without user authentication. In this case, it should not be happened and we need to find details. Probably there is some issue in logoff or browser cache.

B. You need to skip the logon screen but no idea how to setup SSO.

C. You need to skip the logon screen without SSO. Please share business background.
