Drill down - Hide Dimension

Hi Experts,

We are using BO XI 3.1 SP4: the drilldown options are set correctly. Apply all the blocks in the report.

In the web intelligence report, we have 2 cross-tables with dimension1, and several columns.

Table1 on the left and table2 on the right (the dimension1 is hidding in the second table):

TABLE1 ...TABLE2

Dimension1 has a hierarchy : dimension1-->dimension12.

When we drill down the dimension1 in the first table, the second table does nothing. I thought that the drill down of a dimension is doing for all the blocks in the report.

It works correctly when the both dimensions in both tables are displayed.

Is it not possible to drill down a hide dimension with a hierarchy?

Hi Mark ,

When we apply drill , a drill filter will get create dynamically .Which by default filters all the dimension values in the report tab. But, we can have control over the measures by applying nofilter() function.

It is good to show other tables in another tab

or

bring the required data from another webi query and use this in the same tab .

I tried others tabs , same tables ..but the drill down doesn't work if the row is hidden. I attached the screenshot.

Any idea?

I'm not able to generate your issue in my environment (BI 4.1).Can you give steps to do .

Why there is one row in the right bottom table ,where as 3 in all other tables ?
