Settlement rule

Hello Team,

I had a operative project with below structure

C-XXXX

C-XXXX-top WBS

C-XXXX-10

Network

Internal activity 1

C-XXXX-10.1

C-XXXX-20

C-XXXX-20.1

Internal activity 2

Internal activity 3

C-XXXX-20.2

I had use above project to create new project. For new project,auto settlement rule for activity not created WHY?

If I move activity 2 to WBS C-XXXX-10, settlement rule created WHY?

There is not plant on any WBS. I had created new project with all WBS have same plant code but still no settlement rule created for activity.

the Plant is blank here in your WBS-20.  How's it in 10? Can you check that?

Hi,

All WBS is account assignment. In project only one plant code so all WBS have same Plant code.network type Network with activity assignment.

Pls Check the WBS Account Assignment check box.

The strategy for automaticaaly generating the settlement rule is only valid for WBS elements that are allowed to  carry costs, that is those elements that have been defined to be an account assignment element.

It depends on the network type. check whether your network type is Network with header assignment, i think you are using the network type Network with activity assignment so when you assign activity to WBS element settlement rule is getting generated.

Also check the settings:

it should work actually. What you can check is following customizing:

Project System

Costs

Automatic and Periodic Allocations

Settlement

Define Settlement Rule for Network

Assign Strategies and Default Rules to Network Types

Please check, which default rule (PS1 or PSP) for the involved networktype + plant is set. ?

Default rule is PS1. I check all configuration it is correct.

In present project structure,If I move activity 2 to WBS C-XXXX-10, settlement rule created...

but why settlement rule not trigger automatically? why rule created when I move to WBS C-XXXX-10?

Is the WBS is having OPEX and CAPEX concept ?

Did you see any difference for WBS element at 10 and 20 ?

If possible can you share the screenshot of these WBS element.

Hi lalita,

Just a thought is the Plant at WBS CXXX-10 different then WBS CXXX-20?

Other than that I don't think other factors would influence the auto generation of settlement rule, if you feel all other config. settings are correct..
