Hello Gurus,
ive got a question regarding CN72 generated versions.
We are using CJ20N to create easy cost planning cost items (ECP version NUL), which thereafter are being copied to other plan version BDG by using CJ9FS.
Before releasing the project, we create its version with CN72. Everything generates and creates as it should be, but we noticed, that the version is only for costs on WBS elements, the ECP detailed line items (unit of measure, quantity, pricing) are excluded from copying.
Additionally standard ECP values are saved in tables: PROJ, PRPS, CKHS, CKIS, CKIT
Versioned ECP values are stored in tables: VSPROJ_CN, VSPRPS_CN, RPSCO
the difference between them, that the version data is using same tables CKHS, CKIS, CKIT for detailed line items, which are constantly updated from CJ20N (version NUL).
Any ideas how to get ECP line items versioned?
Regards
Laurynas
Hi Laurynas,
If you make a project version (snapshot) of a project, no ECP planning data are get created.
'Versioned ECP values are stored in tables: VSPROJ_CN, VSPRPS_CN, RPSCO' => It is not accurate, actually it is the versioned project structure and costs data, but not the ECP.
And I do think. the CJ9FS copy the costs only too, not the planning data.
ECP is a planning tool (data stored in CKHS CKIS), it results the costs data (COSS, COSP & RPSCO). For the costs point of view, it does not care, which planning tool is used.
If a project is transfered to a Simulation (not the snapshot), the simulation get new copied ECP. The structure element (VSPRPS_CN-kalnr linked with a new kalkulation number). The copied ECP data (CKHS & CKIS) are stored with the new kalnr.
There is also ECP multiple CO-Version avaiable (using PRECP2 to link with multiple kalnr for the same WBS element\activity) , but it has nothing to do with project version.
Kind regards,
Zhenbo

Hi,
Exclude ECP cost data you are finding by standard version, but for ECP you have create extra version means other then standard version as 000 or that which you have created to copying 000.
so when you create version to ECP please select ECP version for target version.
then check report or transaction line item of ECP is updating or not?

Sanjeev

Hey Sanjeev,
normal CO version is 0. The version for ECP is NUL. There is also one additional version BDG, which is beeing updated by using CJ9FS(but this transaction is updating only as deep as Cost elements)
this scenario is same as you described, but the values during the CJ9FS operation didnt copy plan line items.
then im drilldowning to plan line items
result

Hi Laurynas,
I am not sure if that is available for ECP in standard SAP. I would suggest to use the tables mentioned by you to get the data.
lets wait to hear from others as well.

Sammar
