How the webi report is communicating with universe

Hi Exports

if any object is recreated in universe that will effect in web intelligence report.

how the association is working between webi report and universe and what are the available associations in Business objects.

Hi Sathish,

As far as I know, as and when an object is created in universe, a unique ID is defined to that object internally through which the link is established between universe and report (through query).

If an object has been used in a report query, renaming  and cutting/pasting the object will not affect the report functioning as these operations dont change the object id; however, in case you remove and re-create the object, even if it is in same class with same name and datatype, you will get "objects unavailable" error while editing the query in which it is used as the link will break in this case.

Hi Sathish,

I don't understand your question exactly,... The connectivity is configured in the CMC, and then using the Data provider, you choose which Universe do you want to use for the webi report.
