Dear Experts,
In our client currently we are using EUR currency with 2 decimal in SAP. Now the client's requirement is to have EUR with 3 digits.
As it is not suggested to change the decimal places for existing EUR from 2 digits to 3 digits,
we need to create a new EURO Currency with 3 digits. Please suggest the procedure for the same and the impact on all transactions old and new.
Thank you very much in advance.

Hi,
As per SAP standard not to change the currency settings 2 to 3 decimals for existing currency.
If you want to create new currency go to OY04 (Cross Client) maintain 3 decimals for new currency entry(Take the help from FI consultant its purely FI related settings).
Maintain currency settings in company code,Sales organisations,Customer master level
if its already implemented or some transaction data is already exist its highly recommended to not to change the currency settings.
whenever changes occurs in the currency settings standard reports will not have any impact(back end the currency data elements it will take 2 digits only in the table level) but any Z reports exist it will have a huge impact.
suppose Billing net value 234.56 EUROS in VF05N but the same time any custom invoice report it will show as 23.456 EUROS as a net value.
so finally net value it will not match with standard and z reports
So before doing such kind of changes please check some SCN links & Google and take help from FI consultant .
Thanks,
Krishna.
