Hi All,

I have followed hana studio update pdf to conifgure HANA Studio for automatic updates.

Tried in both ways --Creating a repository --By specifying the file path, both cases are not successful in updating the studio to latest version.

http://<host>:8080/sap/hana/studio -- is not working

     > Created a new delivery unit

     > deployed it to use as repository

     > restarted HANA Studio

     > Tried updating HANA studio using Automatic software update.

file:/sapmnt/shared/SID/hdbstudio_update/repository  -- is not working

     > enabled automatic udpates

     > restarted Hana Studio after this changes

Am I missing anything here?

Regards,

Raj

Hello Raj Ry,

If you have already update HDB using lifecycle manager, you do not need to manually define update side. (make sure the firewall ports are open between HANA server and client side studio)

In HANA studio, click Window -> Preferences -> Install/Update -> Available Software Site -> click Add

Name: just input one, like studio_update

Location: http://hana_server_ip:80xx/sap/hana/studio

Then in HANA studio, click Help -> Check for Update

Hello Ning Tong,

Thanks for Reply.

I have tried above steps and below is the error. we have multiple HANA systems on a Host.

One system software update site is working fine but not for another. I am curious why this is not detecting any repository even it exists.

Regards,

Raj

Hi Raj,

I just guess that the remaining systems are not updated using HLM? right? (If you do not update this system, the auto update site can't be used at all).

If this is the case, please manually setup the update site according to the studio guide or update the remaining system. Then retry again.

If the above steps still can't solve your problem, please let SAP AGS check your strange system.

And since now, any update from SAP support side?

Regards,

Ning
