[INS-30060] Check for group existence failed - Oracle 11.2

Hi experts,

We are in process of installing the SAP Netweaver Java system with  7.4 SR 2 version.

System details

Operating system : Solaris Sparc 5.11

Database : 11.2

When we started the installation of Oracle Database we are facing the below error in the group option.

" SEVERE: [FATAL] [INS-30060] Check for group existence failed.

"

We already verified the Oracle Document : 1268391.1 & 1372539.1 & SAP Note :  1431796

Hi Sebastian,

SAP Note 1431796 has a reference to this error . Did you check this  or is it not valid

"Change ownership of CVU directory or rename/remove this directory, then rerun the installation"

We didn't see any CVU* folder in our system

Hello,

We have resolved the issue after the providing the full privilege  ( 777) folder permission for the below folder path.

/var/tmp/

/var/

then installation went successful without any issue
