“Inventory Active” field is set for a storage bin even though no active or counted physical inventory document exists

Issue:-

Physical Inventory documents are shown in active status in report LX25 (Inventory Status), even though the inventory documents are cleared. Also these documents are showing as cleared in report LX22(Inventory Overview).

Because of this, the user is unable to book or issue any material, or do bin to bin transfer for the bins.

The “Inventory Active” field is set for a storage bin even though no active or counted physical inventory document exists for this.

Have a look into OSS note 824904 - Resetting correction report for quant inventory, lqua-skzsi

and compare it with your case.  Keep attention to the CAUTION mentioned in that note.

Hi Jurgen,

Thanks for the response.

In my case the quant does not have the IA indicator active.IA indicator is set in the storage bin.Thus, this OSS note might not be applicable.

Can you please suggest some other OSS notes.

Contact SAP. Even more important than correcting this issue is to find the root cause and to close this gap so that such inconsistency will not occur again.
