Hello there,
I have installed the software. But I get MS Project version 14.0 not supported by Open PS, We are use MS Projec 2010. Now in SCN I see a person write OPENPS4MP is only supprted up until MS Project 2003. If this is the case then what else can we use to migrate PS projects into MS Project and vice versa?
Regards
Waza
Hi Waza,
As far as I am aware it is supported. In order to solve your issue, could you please
perform the below?
1) Please update the latest .NET framework (version 4.5).
2) Please also download the latest OpenPS installation file from service.sap.com:
SAP Support Portal
Software Downloads
Support Packages and Patches
Browse our Download Catalog
Supplementary Components for Cross Industry Solutions
Project Management
OPENPS FOR MS PROJECT
OPENPS FOR MS PROJECT 4.0
OPENPS FOR MS PROJECT 4.0
Win32
To avoid potential issues after installation, I would recommend that the following steps
are followed before and during installation (Please have a look SAP Note 1352247 for
further details):
1) Uninstall all installed versions of OpenPS. You can do this via the
control panel in windows (Start -> Settings -> Control Panel) using
'Programs and Features' or 'Add or Remove rograms' (DEPENDING on your
windows version).
2) Make sure all installation folders are therefore deleted. Usually
you find it under C: \ Program Files \ SAP. If you still find a folder
called 'OpenPS4MSP' after you have uninstalled the software, kindly
delete it.
3) Make sure no macros are silently running in MS Project. Start
MS Project, goto menu 'Tools' ->' Macro '->' Macros ... ". If you
find anything starting with 'PS_', delete it.
4) Run file 'extensibilityMSM.msi'. You will find 'that' in the Extracted folder for the
downloaded installation files for OpenPS.
5) Reinstall OpenPS.
6) Make sure, OpenPS is not deactivated in MS Project. Start MS Project, goto menu
'Help' -> 'About Microsoft Office Project', click on button 'Disabled Items ... ". If you find 'OpenPS_addin' in the list, activate it.
I hope this helps.
BR,
Enrique
