service provider or service consumer

hi all expert,

I need received messages from external system which provided me WSDL. After I receive message from external system, I need do something and return the message status.

I am not sure in this case I am a service consumer or a service provider? which option I should choose in SE80 to generate service?

Hi Joshua,

As you are telling you are doing something after you receive message , so i guess its syncronous message.

You act as service consumer when you are receiving message and you act as service provider when you are sending them respsonse back.

Correct me if i'm wrong.
