Stored Procedure in a .UNX universe?

Everything I am finding seems to suggest that I can access a stored procedure in a .UNV universe, but not a .UNX universe.  Seriously?  Is that correct?

Tell me I am wrong.  Please.

The Universe Design with SAP Businessobjects Bi: the Comprehensive Guide book states on page 706...

The following universes created in the Universe Design Tool can't be converted because IDT doesn't support them:

  • Relational universes based on a stored procedure or on a Java bean.
  • ...

Why?

Hi Noel,

The Stored Procedure can Only be accessed in the UNV or Universe Designer

Here is a link to my Wiki page regarding Stored Procedure Best Practices.

Do you foresee this functionality coming back in future versions of IDT?

I don't have any insight into this at this time, but if you have a need my suggestion is to post to the IDEA place.  The developers monitor these requests for requests for product features.  There is a semantic area and I would suggest to post it there.
