Error when resetting the password through LogonHelpApp
Currently I am facing a problem. We have rolled out SRM 7.02 to our vendors and it is required that they create their user and reset password. We are facing a problem wherein "Reset Password" functionality provided normally by SAP for SRM Portal via LogonHelpApp is giving an error which is generic. Screenshot below.
The screenshot is from the development server as per my research following entry was required to be maintained in SWETYPV
For the scenario where we do not require approval for password change. I have activated the Linkage as well but the error above persists. Any help on the same would be greatly appreciated.
Ok so we solved this. This had nothing to do with the workflows we configure on the ABAP stack. All this is a portal activity we found the following note.
So all this activity was done at the portal end by our Portal Guy and Bingo !!!!!!!!!! the functionality started working. Since all this is handled at the Java Stack there is no workflow trigger logging at the ERP side. Although I am still not sure why there are workflow tasks for this specific functionality available.
