What is APS.AnalysisDS server

I noticed my Production BO 4.1 SP3 server has APS.AnalysisDS server running, APS.Analysis server disabled.

Does anyone know what is APS.AnalysisDS? What is the pros and cons vs APS.Analysis?

Hi,

actually, the APS can have ~25 different possible applications types/supported workflows . if you Stop the server, then click "select services" you will be able to add/remove components.

You'll also see that APS for "Analysis" workflows could be of type "MDAS" (multidimensional for Analysis OLAP) or "DS" for Design Studio .  (and others )
