Within CT04, each characteristic values can be linked to a DIR. However, this link does not appear as a DIR object link.
What are the table(s) use to manage this linkage? If there any functionality to manage the linkage similar to DIR object links ie current version, retain link between DIR version etc?
Hi Richard,
this is a little tricky feature, so I will give you an example:
1) create a document information record, which describes the characteristic or one of its value.
Add at least one file to the originals, e.g. a PDF document and a text file
Example:
2) insert this document to the characteristic
a) to describe the complete (usage of) characteristic: add the document on tab "addnl data" by using the search button
b) or to describe a special characteristic value, by selecting the value, then use the document button on the bottom, search about the document and assign it to the value
3) usage
If a user calls the classification in edit mode he can go by F4 help to the help dialog.
Then you can see additional buttons:
the top one is for the linked document to the characteristic
the one next to the value is the one which is linked to the value
By a click the (helping) document apears automatically.
If you have more than one original you will get a dialog to choose ...
The is no way to handle last version, next Version, and so on. This is a fixed link to the document info record.
No object link ... ! There is also no safty, if you delete the document. You can set the deletion flag at any time.
Table CABN: link btw document and characteristic
Table CAWN: link btw document and characteristic value

Markus
P.S. pls rate if this was helpful

Hello ,
You need to assign CABN for charteristics and KSML table for class and characteristics in object link.
