Custom Themes only appear for some User ids and for others sap_bluecrystal

Hi Friends,

I have designed my custom theme  "custom_theme"  in UI Theme Designer.

And using transaction /UI2/NWBC_CFG_CUST, I have set path filter: SAP_FLP, Parameter name: THEME, Parameter value: custom_theme

Earlier custom theme was working fine when I executed the Launchpad url.

But recently, it is only loading for some users and for others, when I check in "User Preferences" it shows SAP Blue Crystal theme.

Please help me as I am in middle of a deployment.

Hello Everyone!

Here is the solution:

When the user works with the custom themes, all the user ids used for testing kind of pick up the standard theme and not the custom theme.

To avoid such issue:

Go to transaction SU01-> in the Personalisation tab -> Choose the record /UI2/USER_PROFILE -> click on the trash icon to reset its value.

Although I did not understand why this happened, but custom theme will load after resetting:)

Hi Lipsa,

I customized a theme for SAPUI5 application which is uploaded in Gateway system. The theme is reflecting fine with Theme Parameter which I got from /UI5/THEME_TOOL. I modified the SAP_FLP parameter value from sap_bluecrystal to <my custom theme ID>.When I am accessing the application without theme parameter, my custom theme is not loading.

One more thing that I tried,I deleted all cache that posted in 

and I reset the value for /UI2/USER_PROFILE, /UI2/CONTAINER in su01.Still custom theme is not reflecting.

Please suggest me how to achieve it.

Please check the SAPUI5 library version.

Some known issues have been fixed in the 1.24.5.

Hi Masa,

I appreciate your suggestion. Currently I am using SAPUI5 Version- 1.24.4

And custom themes are working for some users.

Do you still think we need to proceed with an upgradation. Are there any other options?

This is a high priority issue. We cannot delay anymore.

Please suggest the best possible option.

Hi Masa,

Thanks a lot for the valuable information! Currently custom themes are working only when set explicitly using theme-id and theme-root url.

I am trying to make it work through FLP. I have no idea how is it picking up the custom theme only for few users.

I will check SAP Fiori launchpad caching and revert soon.

Hi Masa,

I have rebuilt the custom theme. User cannot select a theme in User Preferences.

It is working same as earlier. Please suggest what else should I check.
