Hi Daniel,

Are you getting any error? Can you share the screenshots?

What version on jre are you using to open it. Workbench is quite choosy when it comes to jre version.

Thanks,

Swaroop

Hi ,

It shows Java 6.

I am getting the authentication screen with port 53000 which is incorrect. The system actual port no is 50000. Which port should I use for login.

If I try to login as administrator, getting an error " unknown hostname" eventhough I give the correct one.

If I simply click the help button without giving any credentials also, seeing an error message"ERROR_ON_LOAD" (java.lang.Null.pointer.Exception)

Should the system be connected with SLD or NWDI for opening workbench?

how to login successfully.

Thanks in advance

Hi Daniel,

It has to be 50000 only. Nothing to do with NWDI or SLD while opening it.

See if your browser download a java file name workbench.jsp, if yes you can double click on it as well to open workbench.

Let me know mii version you are using.

Hi,

When you click the workbench link you shouldn't get the Authentication dialog. Is https: configured on your host?

You could open workbench directly using :

http://<server>:<port>/XMII/Workbench.jsp

Hi Daniel,

There is some issue with your server configuration due to which you are getting this pop-up. Can you try accessing https://<server>:<port>:50001/XMII/Menu.jsp

Does it work?

Hi Daniel,

Are you getting some messages specific to java applets, etc.

You might have to downgrade your jre version.

why is it not working on this system only?

Hi Daniel,

Are they set on the system which is throwing this issue? Ideally they shouldn't be set.

The issue here is that your session information is not carried forward while opening the workbench.

This results in user having to re-authenticate himself.

Hi Daniel,

Workbench works for some specific version of jre due to compatibility with applets. So if you are getting any error specific to applets, some security messages then you must downgrade your jre version. Try 5_31, as far as i remember, it should work.

Also, the port no. compulsarily should be same as port no. for menu, jsp.

I con sense some configuration issue as well. Connect with your basis team.

Thanks and Regards,

Hi Daniel,

Yes, it is inside MII workbench.  You need to login to MII using:

http://<server>:<port>/XMII/Menu.jsp

Within the tab SAP MII Workbench, you should see the link to open the workbench.
