Customers flagged for deletion in ECC

Good Morning!!

If a customer is flagged for deletion in ECC, when you pass it to GTS via /SAPSLL/DEBNAS_DIRR3 is it flagged for deletion in GTS as well?  Is it possible to have the ECC deletion flagg passed to GTS?

Thanks in advance!

Alison

Hi Alison,

Flagging the Customer for deletion in ECC will not flag the BP for deletion in GTS. Instead, it would just update the valid to date in the table /sapsll/pntbp to current date(date when customer was flagged for deletion). GTS doesn’t physically delete the Business partners, they has to be available in GTS for Audit reasons.

You will need enhancement to mark the deletion flag for BP automatically.

Thank you Dhilipan, I appreciate your help.  I have another question...It is possible to exclude ECC customers and vendors flagged for deletion from Sactioned party screening?  Or would this require ABAP customization?

Hi Alison,

Unfortunately, there is no standard solution for this.

We do have a setting under SPL control settings to exclude expired addresses, but when we actually set the deletion flag in ECC, system just expires the valid to date in /sapsll/pntbp table and doesn't expire the address linked to our business partner.

You will need ABAP enhancement in the SPL screening logic or a standalone report to pull all those expired BPs and archive those.

Dhilipan.
