SAP Source system and SAP BW Objects mapping

Hi Friends,

We are currently using SAP IS-U as a source system and SAP BW 3.5 , i need to create a report and the requirement has been given to me like the logic and source system tables and fields. Can you please suggest how will i find those objects in SAP BW so that i can map DS TO those IO or Infosource or DSO.

Hi,

Please use table - RSTSFIELD  in case of bw 3.x.

Here you need to enter data source and display table content.

it will shows ECC fields(column - FIELDNM) and bw related info objects(Column - IOBJNM).

For bw 7.x use table - RSOSFIELDMAP.

it shows based on data source.

IS-U or R/3 will be your source.

IS-U will be part of R/3 or source system.

please check and find what you need.

Hi,

First try to find is there any standard Data source's /Dso's/infocubes available in BW system for relevant source  table's , this can be done by using help.sap.com ,  if standard d.s/cubes not available then need to

create custom cubes/dso's/d.s using RSOSFIELDMAP  we can get one to one relation ship from source  field to BW Iobj.
