A chart bug while export to word

Hi, guys

CR for vs Ver13.0.9

Visual Studio 2010

Office 2013

I designed 3 charts in my rpt file. In order to seperate them, we can mark the first on as Chart A, the second as Chart B, and the last one as Chart C.

The three charts are actually the same size, and in fact, i just copy Chart A, change some options, and it changed to Chart B.

Chart C is also changed from Chart A.

After all is done, i export to word.

Chart A shows normal and it's size is OK.

But Chart B and Chart C is a little unnormal. (Click to see big picture)

In word, they show like below:

And soon i found Chart B and C's size is 0.01cm different.

If click "Ret Size" in the green box, Chart B and C returns to normal.

You can use the attachment to test, and if possible, show me a solution in report design.

Thanks.

Hi Hu,

The report doesn't contain saved data. Could you re-attach with data please.

I tried this on a sample report (in CR 2011) and the exported Word file has all the charts aligned and sized correctly.

Hi Abhilash,

I m using push mode, it may a little difficault to contain sample data.

Many of my rpt files contains the same problem.

How to attach my exe and mdb?

Thanks.

Hi Hu

To get a report with saved data using the push method, you will have to export the report to rpt file format. That will by definition have saved data. See the SAP Crystal Reports .NET SDK Developer Guide and SAP Crystal Reports .NET API Guide for how to.

However, before attaching the rpt, please update your install to Service pack 12 (you are currently using SP 9).

Hi Ludek,

Thanks for your advice. I'm dowloading SP12, and i followed your opinion to export a rpt file.

See the attachment.

And at the same time, you guys can see the attachment and see what to be found.

Hi Hu Po

I get the following error trying to open the report:

This typically occurs because the report is using a UFL or repository functions that I have no access to. Do you know if the report is using a UFL?

Hi Ludek

I'm not using UFL, and i know nothing about it.

How about this one?

Thanks.

P.S. I update to CR sp12, and the same problem accurs.

Nope. Same error.

When you run the report, page to the very past page, then export to rpt file format. See if that helps.

Hi, Ludek

I can't quite understand "page to the very past page" while translating to Chinese.

Can u explain it.

Thanks.

Apologies Hu Po

If the report has 10 pages, go to page 10 and back to page 1, then do the export. In that way we are making sure the report has captured all data.

Hi Ludek,

It's OK, there always exist language barrier.

Here is the the rpt file, i followed as you said, page to the last page and export.

"Export Word.txt" you can rename it to a *.doc file, and you can see the problem.

Thanks.

Hi Hu Po

I am getting the same error.

Would it be possible for you to attach an XML of the dataset?
