Problem with Mobile device

Hi all,

We are using MI 2.5 Intermec.

Yesterday we faced a problem with 2 devices.

Device was on MI home page.After some timeDevice had blank screen, no flashing light and will not turn on.

The battery had at least a 70% charge left on it.

Took out battery and put it back in to see if that would enable device to start. Did not work.

I had to rebuild the devices again..Can anyone suggest what could be the problem..

Hi Neha,

What is the memory of Intermec device? Which application you were using, and what is approximate amount of data? There are chances that, the device might have stopped working because of "Out of Memory" error. There is higher chance of it during synchronization.

I have solved this Problem By increaing the memory.It was a memory issue ..

How did you increase the memory? We are running into the same problems.

We are using Intermec 751 devices and we can't change the memory. We have 128MB of RAM on the devices.

Hi,

I also wonder how you increased the memory, or did you mean that you adjusted the allocation of storage and program memory?

Hi Dale and Jon

Go to Settings -> memory settings

in that screen you will find a slide bar with which you can adjust memory for system and application. Move the slide towards the system so tat you can assign little more memory to your application space.

Hi Divya,

When we try and adjust the slide bar it automatically adjusts back to where it was. Is there a way to permantly adjust the memory?

Dale,

First check if you have locked your settings. if yes unlock and then try.

still if it doesnt work call up the customer/tech support guys from where you bought this device. as this is striclty a device issue.
