We are in the process of implementing SBO Purchasing module and have the need to created purchase orders for one-time items.
We purchase lots of spare parts for heavy equipment and there are millions of part numbers that we dont need to keep inventory, things like filters, nuts and bolts.
If there a way to created a purchase orders for one-time items. We need to enter descriptions on the fly all the time.
I prefer not to use Service Type Purchase order.
Help...
Hi,
There are 2 work arounds for you:
1. Create an item with ItemCode like MiscItem. Change item description for a new PO for the same itemcode.
2. Use service type document instead of item type.
Thanks,
Gordon

Hi,
Create an itemcode as spare parts, and select the item by changing its item description every time while creating a PO.

Hi,
1. Create spare part as item master data without selecting as inventory item. Same item master data can be used to buy all spare parts.
2. Use this item master data for creating PO and add your description at item description field.

Hi Luis,
One time Item is not possible in B1 , once we create any document or transaction related to any item we can not remove or delete that item . you can inactive the Item but can not remove.
one thing you can do is whenever you need to delete any item and the stock is zero you rename that Item with the new item name you want .
and in case you want to see the change history report use AITM Table.

Manish
