Error on preview: One or more fields could not be found in the result set

Hello,

I am using CR10 to preview my report, but it gives me the error from the caption.

The database is already verified and there are no problems with it.

I also have a C# application that gives me the same error:

Any ideas what could be going wrong ?

Hi Ivo

What is the database?

How are you connecting to the database?

Can you create a new test report with the same tables as those that exist int he problem report? (e.g.; just quickly add the tables and throw a field or two on the report).

What OS?

Hi Ludek,

It is a MSSQL database.

I have chosen a OLE DB(ADO) connection and then a Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server.

The OS is Windows 7 Professional 64bit.

Yes, creating a new report works fine. The report that I have the current problem with is quite big and it has a few sub-reports. But the database verification passes fine and it says that the database is up to date.

Best regards

Not knowing the actual version of the MS SQL database yo are using... please see the following:

For OLE DB use:

MS SQL 2005 - OLE DB Provider

MS SQL 2008 - SQL Native 10

MS SQL 2012 - SQL Native 11

MS SQL 2013 - SQL Native 11

When I change it to SQL Native 10 (we are using SQL Server 2008), I get this error message:

The credentials are correct, I have double and triple checked them.

From what I understood by searching on the Internet, there are "issues" between CR XI and SQL Server 2008, but I am using CR10.

Well, I'd expect CR 10 to have even bigger issues(?!)

CR 10 released... 2004(?). I suspect it never supported MS SQL 2008 - don't remember and it has been out of support for years.

It may be time to upgrade to CR 2013. Here is a link to an eval of CR 2013, see if that will work:

CR 2013 and CR 10 are side by side compatible.
