Budget control at Network activity level

Hi,

There is a requirement for a customer to activate Budget control functionality at Network activity level..As far as I know , it can be done only at the WBS element level.

Is there any setting or custom development through budget can be controlled at WBS element level.

With regards,

Mrinal K Roy

Hi,

budgeting is done on WBS level. But the networks will 'consume' the budget from the corresponding WBS element.

hi,

We had a similar problem for cost planning , where we needed cost planning to be done at network level and not WBS. Well, to be honest standard SAP doesnot provide budgeting or costplaning at this level, so as a work around we used authorizations of WBS to do cost planning and that solved the problem temporalily.

Hi,

There is no problem for cost planing at network activity level. For that, network costing can be used. I have found some work around as follows. If we can link cost planing of activity with Budgeting at WBS element, then it will serve the purpose.

Hi Mrinal,

In PS customisation, under costs-->budget you will find "Define tolerance limits". Here you can set 'Target group' ie at which level the budget check should occur. Hope this will solve your query.

Hi Srikanta,

This refers to your reply for Budget Control at Network activity level. As per standard SAP feature Budget control is at WBS element level only. In Customization>Budget>Tolerance limit for Budget, Target Group will select all the details such as purchase order, purchase requisition, goods issue etc, but n't any network activity.

For Budget control at Network activity level some user exit is required from activities (Cost Planning).
