Failed to get connection for connection(<BI Server>) Using session Locale[English]

Dear Experts,

While opening analysis edition for OLAP from the BI Launchpad we are getting a popup error as "Failed to get connections for connection [<BI Server>] using session locale [English]. The current password is initial. Please change your password in the ABAP backend as well as in your local destination configuration.

Please suggest how to solve this.

Hi Venkat,

You have to log into SAP logon or BEx Query Designer with initial credentials. It will ask you to change the initial password. Now you can use the new password in business objects.

I can login to SAP BI without any issues.While login to SAP BI,its not asking any new password in BI.

Is it the same user you used to create OLAP connection in CMC?

Ensure that that the OLAP connection is defined with the same user which you just used to login to SAP BI.
