Configuration for consolidation, calculate goodwill and minority (three company)

Dear all,

I am having problem when set up business rule to calculate the goodwill and minority interest.

This is my scenario:

Company AA01 invest to AB03 amount 90 million to own 80% of AB03.

Company AB03 invest to AH01 amount 92 million to own 60% of AH01.

Now I have to calculate the goodwill and minority interest for AA01 invest in AH01.

But I don’t know how to do this.

In the solution I search in all document, I can only calculate the goodwill and minority for

AB01 invest in AB03

AB03 invest in AH01.

So I have two question

  1. Is it possible to calculate goodwill and minority for AA01 invest in AH01.
  2. If it is possible, then how to set up this solution (master data, business rule).

Please help me to solve this problem.

Thanks,

Thai.

Hi,

Yes, using Indirect Share Holding Pattern you can find your solution for AA01 investing in AH01.

Go through the BPC Consolidation Guide. It says :-

Indirect Share is The % ownership between the higher level parent and the investee. Also referred to as Group share.

Hi Bishwajit,

Can you give me more detail about how to get this done?

I know that when calculate the ownership with group share method will give me the percent that AA01 own AH01. But from that i still can't calculate the goodwill and owner ship for AA01 invest in AH01.

Thanks,

Thai.
