FGI4 split P/L statement by cost center

Hi All,

I want to split the expense account balance into two based on cost center.

My requirement is there is only one GL account which contains expenses which are operational expenses as well as non operational (admin expense). So, I want to divide the amount in this GL into before Gross profit and after gross profit based on the amount posted to cost centers.

I believe this is possible through FGi4 please help me out experts.

Thanks in advance !

regards,

Satan

Hello,

I think you have already asked this quesition.

Am I right?

Yes, you can build up P&L in accordance to cost centers.

I think I have already asked a similar  quesition like your requirement

maybe the discussion is helpful for you.

Report painter report could look like this picture

Infomation about this  toll can be found in SAP material CA705, CA710, CA700

Hi Erwin !

I did ask but it seemed people understood it differently.

What I am looking for is:

Same GL account appears above Gross profit and Below gross profit (yes it should appear twice !)

The amount shown above gross profit should be from the GL account values posted along with operations related cost center while the amount shown after Gross profit from the same GL account should be from values posted along with administration related cost center.

I am looking at the IFRS compliant income statement format, Not like the one you have shown above. I am not ready to create another GL because there are multiple GL accounts of this nature I might end up creating lot of GL accounts of same nature so I want to keep one GL still divide it based on cost centers.

I believe SAP would have some way out for this through FGi4 transaction.

Anyway thanks for taking time to respond

Looking forward to hel

Hello,

Thank you very much for your answer.

Do you use classic GL or new General Ledger?

When using classical GL you can use: Report Painter + Profit Center Accounting for reporting purpose

When using nGL you can use segment reporting to fullfill your needs.

Hi,

I am in New GL but I don't use segment reporting. I use only profit center for zero balancing. The multiple cost centers I have mentioned above will post to same profit center so, I can't use profit center.

I want to use cost center only for this purpose.

Thanks !

Hi Satan,

While assigning the GL accounts to each row select the cost centre field along with the GL account in FGI4. Then system will display the values as per cost centre.

Mukthar
