i am getting a following error after installation in SICK.

Win Server 2008r2 standard, SQL Server 2005 ,

SAP ECC6.0

how can i upgrade the MS SQL Service pack pls tell me the step by step.

Kindly follow the steps

1. Stop the SAP instance.

2. Take the full backup of DB & SAP instance folder

3. Download the latest version of MS SQL 2005 and start install the service pack.

4. Check the service pack version which already mention in the SAP Notes 62988

5. Restart the system, check the SAP instance

6. Refer the SAP KBA for download the service pack

1733195 - Microsoft SQL Server version and download list

Getting same error after upgrading kernel

Hi Patil

Kindly refer the SCN thread and SAP Note  with same issue. I think you have to upgrade the service pack of MS SQL 2005.

Kindly follow the steps:

1. Stop the SAP instance.

2. Take the full backup of DB & SAP folders

3. Apply the latest service pack of MS Sql server 2005. refer the SAP Note for Service pack - 62988 - Service packs for MS SQL Server

4. Start the SAP instance.

By the way, the message exactly says, that you have incorrect kernel.
