Create batch with production date for movement type 309

Hi ALL,

User performing article to article transfer by using movement type 309 to fix his wrong batches from system. In MB1B after entering Issuing article no/site/S.loc and batch, receiving article is same as Issuing article,but batch no is created newly, System copying production date and SLED automatically from issuing batch.

How to create new batch with new production date and SLED

Hi,

I am not sure on process & batch customizing you've implemented at your end... but if I am not wrong, as a standard SAP function, system would copy all the existing batch details (including number, dates etc.) to a new article.

How in your case it's creating new batch number?

But as a solution, depending on volume & business process, you can either do manual changes in respective batch & modify production/SLED dates or build a new enhancement.

Hi,

   It is standard design. Please check the note: 555 - Batch treatment during stock transfer and transfer posting

   If you need a different behavior, you may check the feasibility of development.
