Shipping Conditions in the sales order

Is it possible to filter only what you need to see in the drop down of the shipping conditions tab?

All of our companies shipping conditions world wide show up and we have to scroll thru many shipping conditions to pick out what we need.  This becomes too time consuming.  There should be a way to filter only the U.S. shipping methods.

Can anyone make a suggestion?

Hi,

a suggestion: change description of your U.S shipping conditions so ALL start with same letter or character, then when opening drop box type this letter or character without pressing enter, and cursor will set in first occurence all this asuming drop box displays only description and not code and description (to change this, click on icon customize local layout in main menu, then select options, select your theme and click on visualization 1 and uncheck in controls show keys with dropdown lists).

During sales order, Are you always manually entering the shipping condition?

If you maintain it in Customer Master, then it will be determined automatically, no..?

Nice suggestion! Thanks!

But I am apprehensive about having only descriptions, in the drop down, in sales order. If two descriptions are very similar then there is a chance of incorrect one selected by user.

We could follow the same naming convention (idea) for shipping condition code too. Not sure, if business wants to tamper with already created ones. Creation of new can follow the naming convention.

In the customer    master data set up, you can filter or choose favorite shipping conditions to see only the shipping methods we use here in the states.  But when you are entering a sales order the drop down list pulls in  Every shipping option used by 5 locations worldwide And it is very time consuming to scroll up and down to find what you need.

Yes the sales order defaults to the shipping method the customer was set up with which is normally ground, but almost ever order is shipped via a different method than what the address defaults to.

so you have to scroll up and down the drop down list of shipping methods To choose the correct shipping method the order the order needs to ship by.   

i would think there would be a way to make the sales order side show only the US shipping methods in the drop down list, but have not found anyone who knows how yo do this.

The shipping condition field of the sales order which is in the Header of the sales order. I tried to post a screen shot here but it does not seem to copy into this area. Scrolling thru many worldwide shipping options is such a waste of time when you are quickly trying to enter as many orders as possible throughout the day.  I only need to see US shipping options. Any ideas?

We had a similar requirement. Based on sales order type, few shipping condition should be valid. For this enhancement, we created a custom table with fields Sales document type and Shipping conditions. The coding was done in program MV45AFZB and USEREXIT_CHECK_VBAK

All shipping conditions were visible while scroll down but only if a valid shipping condition was maintained in the order, then the order could be saved. The valid shipping condition was the one maintained in this custom table, along side the sales order type.
