Dear sap consultans,
How to settle maintenance order ?
What are the configuration steps involved ?
How to inform the user that business closure has to be done ?
Hi Vinoth,
Your question is more generic, you will get the relevant information if you google it, please find below links for your reference.
Settlement of Maintenance Order
Settlement of an Order - Plant Maintenance (PM) - SAP Library
Configuration Steps
Inform the user about Business Closure
Business Completion of an Order - Customer Service (CS) - SAP Library
Once the order cost has fully settled, you will be able to close the work order.
Regards
Terence

hey Vinoth,
Q) How to settle maintenance order ?
A) Transaction code to do the order settlement is KO88.
Q) What are the configuration steps involved ?
A) With regards to configuration, Terence has given you the config nodes but you may have to do some further digging around. Post back if you have any further questions.
Q) How to inform the user that business closure has to be done?
A) Business Complete / Closed (Order System Status 'CLSD') is often a batch job and is usually run for maintenance orders which have been in TECO status for 90 days or so - this is a business decision in some cases it can be 180 days to allow all costs to hit the order before it is Business Complete / Closed. The transaction code for Business Complete is CO99 - can be done manually but often run in the background as a batch job with a variant setup. So technically you do not need to inform the user provided there is an agreement upfront after how many days the order can be closed. Once, agreed you just need a batch job set up and it will check and change system status to CLSD where order has been in TECO status for X number of days.
I hope this helps.
Cheers,
Khayyam
