Ledger NGL-Asset accounting module

Hi,

I am using the functionality of ledger in NGL, so I have defined two ledger (0L-IFRS and 1L-Local ledger). I am also implementing the asset accounting module. My question is if it mandatory to use the functionality of ledger also integrated with asset accounting/depreciation areas? Is it posible to use a chart of depreciation without the link of depreciation áreas/ledger? Suppose that I have only a few differences or any between the ledger 0L and 1L for asset accounting.

Is there any consequencia in not to use it?

Hi Cecilia,

Yes, it is mandatory to stay integrated asset accounting with depreciation areas, but you can't use chart of depreciation with assign or link depreciations areas. What you can do is assign another ledger or use parallel accounting for other areas unless area 01.

So you can have different amounts for many areas. Check the discussion below:
