Hello Experts,
I have come across this issue while running the MRP. I am not sure if this is how MRP is supposed to work. Our client is running an MRP for a item with the following:
In stock: 9
Committed:0
Ordered:99
Required Quantity :35
When MRP is run with the required quantity it come up with a recommendation for a quantity of 26. What is expect the system to do is take the PO for the 99 as something that should fulfill the required quantity of 35.
I really think this seems to be a bug.
Any ideas?
Thank you,
Chintan

Hello Nagarajan,
The PDF is for version 8.8 which does not have the option to select the inventory level. This document has no mention of how the required inventory level affects the MRP results. I have also reviewed the How to guide for 9.1 and it does not have any mention of the required inventory levels either.
If you have any insight into this I would greatly appreciate your input.
Thank you
Chintan
Checked in 8.81 version and found that, MRP recommended quantity is taken from Gross requirement field. But in your case there is no such quanity in demand field.
If you select quantity 17, then it will give details of requriments.
It may be application error. Refer SAP note
