Hierarchy Node variable on combined hierarchy

Former Member

hello All,

We have a hierarchy for CS Unit maintained in the system which is the combination of CS Group & CS unit infoobject.

The hierarchy parent nodes are from CS Group while the leaf nodes are of CS Unit.

The requirement is to have a Customer exit - hierarchy node variable on CS Unit with a default value of hierarchy parent node (for which  the associated infoobject is CS group)

Usually , when it is a single infoobject hierarchy, we set it like as below :

L_S_RANGE-HIGH = '0HIER_NODE'

What should be the high value in this case ?

If I keep it as 0CS_Group, it is giving error.

While it is not displaying any default value when keeping it as '0HIER_NODE' or '0CS_UNIT'.

Kindly help !

Thanks,

Neha

Hi Neha,

Please have a look at SAP Note 912473 - Brain 039 in customer exit variables for hierarchy nodes. I think that the following part is relevant in your case:

Foreign characteristic nodes:

You must enter the technical name of the InfoObjekt of the required node.

Furthermore, you can also have a look at how data is stored in the Hierarchy table /BI0/H... It can give you a hint which Characteristic to use.

Best regards,
Sander
