HANA SP09, Multi-tenant Database Container

Hi All,

Based on the attached image, i understood that,on one SAP HANA instance many application can able to run.

My query :

Eg. Standalone SAP MDG as my APP x and SAP ERP CRM as my APP y which is running one SAP HANA instance.

Is my understanding is correct ?

your query is correct. You can install multiple SAP Application on single SAP HANA Instance.

The actual meaning of multi-tenant DB is

But, SAP HANA SPS 09 lets you run multiple independent SAP HANA databases in one single SAP HANA system (SID) and mange as a single unit. We call this functionality Multi-tenant database

Yes. It is possible.

We can run multiple Application on Single instance of HANA DB.

Yes and no. The statement that >1 application can run on one HANA appliance is correct, but the attached image is not multi-tenancy.
