Edit Objects right without enable design button

Hi,

We are using BI4.1 SP3. Recently I encountered an issue with a customer access level.

I have a LiveOffice CAL which allows users to refresh LiveOffice report with embedded Universe Query with Edit Objects right enabled.

As edit Objects right allow users to save and design - modify report, that lead to the issue. I don't want to any user to modify and save reports in production system.

How can solve the problem.

Edit rights will enable the Design mode. This is by design. There are some work arounds. Can you let us know what edit rights you want to give it user without enabling the design?

As I mentioned above, the edit objects right is only for a live office report which embedded Universe query, if I don't give edit objects right to the group of users, they can't refresh this LiveOffice report.

But I don't want this group of people to edit Webi report in BILaunchPad, that's my main purpose.

Could you advise.

have you tried to deny rights specifically to Web Intelligence under Content?
