Defaulting SC flag in MRP generated PR's

Working on below requirement.

We procure a Component-A from vendor - X & every time directly ask vendor X to supply this to sub contracting vendor - Y.

How to map this requirement in SAP such that every PR generate from vendor X will have Vendor Y in the delivery tab with SC flag?

To meet this requirement we suggested

1. Create a contract for vendor-x identifying venor-y in delivery details with SC flag.

2. Mantain source list with above contract for Component -A

But system is not picking the details maintained in delivery tab (sc flag & vendor Y as the delivery address).

Why this happening? Any ideas?

Or do you see any other route to acheive the above requirement.

When searched in SAP market place for any sap note. was able to find below note. But it is not working.

388479 - MRP: 3rd-party order processing for subcontracting III

And even sap product version we are working on is EHP 7 for SAP ERP 6.0 and this note is not valid for this product version.

Thanks,

Raghava

OSS note 38479 refers to OSS note 214298 - MRP: 3rd-party order processing for subcontracting I

where it is said that you can achieve it with MRP areas, only in case you do not want MRP areas you can consider a modification and offers 3 alternatives

And alternative 1 is the note you found, however, the 214298 note said that from 4.7 you can use a BADI instead of this modification:

  1. BAdI 'MD_SUBCONT_LOGIC'

Dear Raghava,

There are many way you can do this process kindly find below few below.

1. Two Stage Subcontract Process:

a) Create PO for Vendor X along with SC indicator (Vendor Y).

b) Issue material to Vendor X via 541.

c) While doing GR w.r.t PO the stock will be loaded on Vendor Y.

d) Finally you can get FM from Vendor Y.

2. Direct Subcontracting Process:

Try the process as per below manual.

3. Third-Party Subcontracting Process using SC Vendor:

Try the process as per below manual.
