delta loads

Hi All,

If there is a case in change of source system of BW.There will data from old source system in BW.Now new source system is connected.if i load the data ..is the data will duplicated? is it necessary to delete the old data from MD info object and Cube.if yes how.What about the loads(Delta and full).

Hi,

if your new and old source systems have same data then bw will holds duplicate data if you load full load from new source system.

You need to discuss with your users and take proper actions.

If two source systems have same data then you better to load data from any one server.

try to avoid duplicating old data in bw.

Use source system specific. mean use 0logsys info object to know data from which source system.

if your facing some issue please explain more details about issue.

info object master data deletion is not mandatory. if we reload same data, it will overwrite the old data.

At cube level need to do deletion if same data loads from new server.

Hi Raju,

You can add 0LOGSYS in your object and you can have old source data and your new datasource info.

What is your requirement?

Hi Raju,

unless you have sourcesystem id as one of the key, the data will be overwritten. you can delete the old data if it is not needed. also, you need to setup the loads, do the initializations before the delta loads
