Hi,

Filter Type

Native : Based on relational business layers only ( Tables ) .

or

Business : Based on Business Layer Object ( Objects ) .

Business filters are filters based on objects in the business layer. They limit the data returned in the query.

In IDT We Have Direct Option to Select Filter Type in Filter Properties .

Hi,

the terminology you are using isn't familiar to me. please clarify your understanding

I checked the help guide for semantic layer http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/sbo41/en/sbo41sp5_info_design_tool_en.pdf

I think you want to be reading section "12.12 About parameters" onwards. there are 3 ways to create a parameter/filter/prompt.  In IDT, these could be defined using:

  • List of values query
  • static list
  • custom sql
