Configuration Locked in Sales Order

Hi Experts,

I am having an issue where when I enter a sales order in change mode and launch configuration, it is in display. This is happening on sales orders where it was created with minimal configuration. Months later we ALE more characteristics for the material to production and enter the sales order to make further selections.

It does not lock on all sales orders but appears to be random. We are not using ECM to manage changes, but we have a business requirement to be able to sell our items with minimal configuration added to the material and add more options at a later date and configure the material than.

Check order staus as usggested by Monst above as well as other parameter on material master too, its seems your configuration is greying out its measn configuration is no more allowed to be changed.

If it have a associated production order check status of production order too.
