Hi,
We are using the following versions:
MI : MI 2.5 SP18 P00
Application: MAM 2.5 SR3
Client OS : Windows Mobile 5.0
We have a problem with time in MAM application. When
creating a Notification or Time Confirmation the time returned in 1
hour in the past.
We are in the UK and the current time zone is British Summer Time
(GMT+1 hour) that changed on the 25th March.
On R/3 in the IMG, the MAM Scenario Configuration are set to GMTUK
(Greenwich UK with Daylight Saving).
The MI Server's System Time was set to UTC with the correct time set
(even though we are in British Summer Time, the time in UTC was set to
match the BST). The users have been created in MI Server without a User
Personal Time Zone, meaning it uses the System Time with no conversions.
The Mobile Device OS is configured to GMT, London, Dublin with Daylight
Savings, so the Windows Mobile OS automatically adjusted the time and
it displays the correct Time.
In the MI client settings, we have 'United Kingdom' and the Time Zone
to UTC that is returning 1 hour slow in MAM.
Previously we had it set to GMT which also was 1 hour slow.
We manually tried setting almost all the time zones available and none
of them returned the correct time.
We also developed a modification to one
page to display the GregorianCalendar of each of the available Time
Zones. None of the time returned was correct. That is, there is not a
single Time Setting that we can use in the MI Client Settings that
returns the correct time.
Has anyone experienced the same issue? How did you solve it?
Thank You in Advance,
Joao.
Hello all
Installation of addon attached to note 1020442 solves this problem.

hi jaoa,
is this only occurring in PDA (Windows Mobile 5)? have you tried it in Windows desktops? it could be an issue with the CrEme if this doesn't occur in desktops.

Hi
Which vesion of Creme are you using?. We did have one of our customers facing this problem in the US. This was directly related to the US day light saving changes that came into effect in 2007. To solve this issue, Microsoft has provided a fix for mobile devices and the same can be downloaded from the following link. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/daylightsaving/default.mspx. Please download the software available in section "For Windows Mobile users who connect to a PC" or "For Windows Mobile users who do not connect to their PC" based on the way you connect you device. Also we have a fix provided by NSIcom for the Creme JVM and both these fixes needs to be used in tandom. The Creme fix will be released as a note in MI in the next few days. In the meanwhile send me across your mail id and i will provide you the fix.

Hi Sivakumar,
I believe you are aware that we have a message reporting this issue.
I have replied to the message #277620 answering your questions, so if you could please have a look it would be very helpful. We could then update this thread so that other people would get access to the solution.
Regards,
Joao.
