I am looking to reduce the size of our BW database and I got the list of tables and it's sizes from the Basis team.
From the list of tables, I see that PSA of an Infosource is utilizing more db space.
Will there be any issues if I delete this PSA data?
Data from the underlying ODS is being deleted weekly and is reloaded.
Hi,
As part of proper housekeeping, you should delete PSA requests on a regular basis. PSA is not a data store and especially with full loads, it can consume a lot of database space. I suggest to only keep the last requests (e.g. 5) to be able to analyze and solve incidents with uploads.
You can use the corresponding Process Type in a Process Chain. You can define criteria such as "older than x days".
Best regards,
Sander

Hi,
if it is the full for PSA you delete the total data then load it again.
in process type use while designing the process chain - "delete the overlapping request form the PSA".
if you add the above option it will delete the existing request and new load will take.
above option use only for the if it is the full load.
2. delete the cahge log table data for the DSO - if you required.
search on the google " house keeping activity in sap bw"
Thanks,
Phani.
