Securitize a Measure or an Attribute in an Analytical Model

Few Questions on HANA Security

First Issue- Need to create a security on a Measure in HANA.

I have 8 measure in a model in which all 7 should be wide open. Only one of the measure which is related to the cost needs to be secuiritized.

I do think we have 2 options

1. To create 2 models; model A to have only 7 measure and the model B to have all 8 measures. We can securitize the model B.

2. We can hide the columns in the consumption tool which is Tableau in our case.

But, wanted to check if we have any other options.

Second Issue- We do have a field in Attribute View which should be securitized only when I include in Analysis for Office drilldowns.

- In one of our attribute view we do have some sensitive data.

- This data would need to be securitized only when drilled down.

Thanks

Hello Andrea-

As far as I know, we cannot have any security for a measure. So, we had used modeling to get around it.

Created a new model with this measure and securitized the model to get around this issue. If you have any better solution, feel free to let me know.

Thanks
