Hello Srinivas,
if SAPLPD appears, that means Access Method F is used for front-end printing.
The reason I am pointing this out is that Access Method F has been replaced by Access Method G. The consequence of this is that 'F' is not developed anymore, therefore problems with new software components, like SAP GUI 7.40 might happen.
For this reason, the solution would be to use Access Method G instead of Access Method F. This change can be done in transaction SPAD in the Output Device definition.
Best regards,
Laszlo

Hi,
Kindly check the below configuration stepup correctly in output device for front-end printing. If the configuration fine then check the printer drivers installed and shared to your windows PC.
Output device : example LOCL.
Device type : SWIN,SAPWIN or a language-specific version for micorsoft Windows PC
Access method : G or F
Host-Printer : __default
Thanks,
Brindavan

Hi ,
Please follow the below steps,
1) Go to transaction SPAD
2 Just click " Enter key"
3) And the screen will appear below and click " change" and select the printer name you want to change for exp:" LP01"
Now you can able to see the option called "Access Method"
Please remember in above step its two times under-scope then DEFAULT
and SAVE the entry by clicking button SAVE which I marked red colour.
Kindly let me know if you need any other details.
Thanks,
Brindavan
Hello,
you will find news for SAP GUI 7.40 in this document -
And as Brindvan said, new SAP GUI has nothing to do with jobs, external neither internal mails. It is only GUI, it doesn't interfere with core functionality of the system.
By the way, you should create new thread for new question which is not related to the main topic in this thread.
Kind regards
host access "G" will cause an additional popup
what about sapnote 2028598:
Hi Christoph,
Under Access Method tab, you will be able to see the checkbox for "No device selection at front end". Tick the checkbox, and it works for me. No more pop-up prompt.
Hope this helps.

Hello,
I think you SAPLPD is somehow obsolete. Look at this note 894444 - Tool for server-based print under Microsoft Windows (SAPSprint)
And also in this thread are some other advice -
Kind regards
