Sales order processing question
We now process paperless orders by keying orders in SAP from incoming fax and emails from a second monitor on our desk . This is a slow process and I am interested in how other companies do this process.
Our process is this:
Open fax or email from second monitor and save it to an Order file
Then reopen it and create a sales order
Save the sales order then reopen sales order and attach the incoming Po to the sales order
Then we manually have to remember to email the confirmation. When we save the order the confirmation goes to an acknowledgement folder on our desk top. We open that folder find the corresponding acknowledgement and start an email and attach the acknowledgement.
There has to be a faster process. Please elaborate on how this can be done faster.
Also what is an inexpensive software that works with SAP that would automatically send the confirmation once the order is saved or can SAP do this automatically ?
